Ethno Fair
The exhibition’s programme takes place at the Sklepić family homestead.
Visitors are thrilled by horse-carriage rides, the Sklepić homemade red-pepper chutney and jam, and the art by the only Baranja potter Danijel Astaloš. On potter’s table, in front of elderly visitors from the USA, he makes plates, pots, drinking cups and various ornaments. For this occasion, he usually puts on his traditional potter’s hat, once worn by potters who used to dig clay from the tunnel in the Baranja Mountain. The prerequisite for exhibiting on a stand is to present solely homemade products, therefore they are covered with homemade brandy, vegetables, cakes and honey. Apart from that, it is also possible to find cottage cheese and goat cheese, various handicrafts, candles, ornaments and so forth.
