Fishing

Baranja is a promised land for anglers. The Danube, the Drava, hidden mouths of the river in wetlands rich in quiet places where experienced anglers place their rods - this makes a topography familiar to skilled anglers. The more daring ones take the so called night fishing or even adventure boat sleeping, defying mosquitoes and upon coming home, they endlessly tell about their struggles with pike-perches, catfish, pikes, carps and carp breams.  Throughout history, the anglers from Baranja have developed fishing techniques which can even today teach us respect for nature.
